Direct Deposit automatically deposits your paycheck or government check (e.g., Social Security) directly into your account. Instead of making a trip to Mainstreet to deposit your check, you will receive a pay stub from your employer verifying the deposit. You also have immediate access to your money. Even if you are on vacation or away from work, you'll have peace of mind knowing that your check is deposited into your account on time. Check with us to see if your employer provides Direct Deposit through Mainstreet.
Mainstreet's Night Depository is available 24 hours a day at all our full-service locations. Deposit envelopes are provided at each location. The Night Depository is a safe, secure way for you to make deposits or loan payments when the Credit Union is closed. Just write down any special instructions you may have and include them with your funds in the envelope; a Mainstreet teller will open the depository and process your transaction the morning of the next business day.
Cashier's Checks, as opposed to personal checks, are readily accepted by nearly all persons or places. Should you need funds from your share account, checking account or other deposit account, you can obtain funds via a Credit Union Cashier's Check. Its very name tells the recipient that the funds represented by this check are as good as cash. Since a lost Cashier's Check is the same as lost cash, it is not replaceable, and a stop payment cannot be placed on the check.
Feb. 23, 2012 - Please be advised counterfeit Cashier’s Checks bearing Mainstreet Credit Union’s name, address, website, and logo are in circulation.
The counterfeit items display a valid routing number of 30107913. The counterfeit items are of poor quality, with a pale blue background, and white scroll work on the left edge of the check that appears to have been hand drawn. Our phone number has been omitted on the counterfeit checks. The check numbers appear as 10 digits leading with 00002 but may vary. The authorized signature appears to have been photo copied. The counterfeit check does not include any of the security features found on our authentic checks and the back of the counterfeit check is stamped with the words “CHECK PROTECT” in bright yellow, in a diagonal cross pattern. The payees have reported receiving the counterfeit checks from various connections made via social network websites.

This feature benefits members in the event a check is presented against an insufficient balance. Funds to cover the check will automatically transfer from available funds in the member's Primary Share Account. A nominal charge for Overdraft Protection may apply for members with a Free Plus Checking Account.
Members may arrange to have future transfers made from another account, either instead of or in addition to the Primary Share Account.
Overdraft Privilege helps save you the embarrassment and inconvenience of a returned item as well as the fee normally charged to you by merchants for items returned to them. Overdraft Privilege is not a line of credit. However, should you inadvertently overdraw your account we normally will cover your overdrafts up to your approved limit after first subtracting the amount of the overdraft fee(s) as outlined in the Discretionary Overdraft Privilege Policy. When your items are paid, the amount of Discretionary Overdraft Privilege will not be shown in your available balance and therefore will not be available for Debit Card purchases, ATM transactions or checks cashed at our teller windows. The Discretionary Overdraft Privilege is available for check inclearings and ACH transactions.
Should an overdraft occur, your account will be charged the standard NSF fee of $27.50 for handling each item even if paid by the Discretionary Overdraft Privilege.
