Protecting Members' Privacy

Mainstreet Credit Union recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of personal information about our members and it is our goal to protect that information in every way we interact with you, whether it be in a branch, at one of our ATMs, on the telephone, or online through the Internet. We shall continue to protect information entrusted to us by our members and will not sell member information to non-affiliated third parties.

We limit the collection and use of member information that we require to deliver quality member service, which includes advising you about our products and services, and to help us respond to your questions and applications, as well as provide account information you may request. Mainstreet Credit Union does not share information about our members with other companies except in an effort to provide member service either through the credit union or to make special offers available that we feel may be of interest to our members.

If any of our vendor relationships require disclosure of member information in order to provide service to our members, we will require that the vendor not use member information for any other purpose.

Please be advised that we may disclose information on your accounts or information contained in member files to an appropriate third party, such as a credit bureau. We may also provide information to regulatory authorities or law enforcement in accordance with applicable law.

OnlineAccess and Mobile Banking Agreement and Disclosure

Please read this Agreement carefully, it contains the terms that govern your use of the Mainstreet Federal Credit Union ("the credit union") OnlineAccess and Mobile Banking application services. 


USA Patriot Act

The USA Patriot Act requires financial institutions, including credit unions, to establish minimum procedures for identifying and verifying the identity of consumers seeking to open new accounts or to add new signatories to existing accounts. The purpose of the USA Patriot/Customer Identification Program (CIP) is to protect the U.S. financial system from money laundering and terrorist financing. It may also help protect consumers against certain types of fraud, including identity theft.
